I agree about the organising/processing/analysing crap.. seriously how many questions do they wanna give us to test us on those things? And it was really ambiguous.. I waffled on soo much!

Multiple choice was easy I thought, TPS and multimedia were okay too.

For the alternative use of that GPS thing, I said it could be used to track criminals/people on house arrest lolol.

Can someone also describe the schema that they did for the music website thingy? I wanna know if I did it correctly. As for the data dictionary for that question, I used field type, field size, data type, description and null value. Would that be enough??
Data dictionary i'd say so,

The scheme is pretty much the fields, making sure you label the primary keys, and then linking them, making sure you put one to many etc.

I did 4 tables; Artist, Song, Customer, Transaction.

For the GPS thing i did track your parcels...

So if you have an expensive thing you wanna post overseas, you can track it etc.

This exam sucked ass. In my mind it is so much different to any other ipt past paper. I hate the fact the questions were all worth so much and there wasn't as much examined. The questions about the collecting etc. processes were just so repetitive and it felt like i was saying the same thing over and over. The question about the GPS was stupid and relied on creative thinking of making a system that was like that system but still had a totally different purpose. The end. Fuck you IPT.

Nah i did shit. It was expected, it's my weakest subject. I couldn't even draw a fucking schema for fucks sake. My last question was rushed. I was talking about people not having proper technology.. I don't know what was going through my mind.

It wasnt that bad, i reckon. The 6 markers kinda got on my nerves after a while, but it was pretty much simple.

wrote about tracking prisoners in a prison complex for the diffent situation question :)

went blank on defining "Transaction"... bullshitted through it though, lol.

oh - and for the data dictionary, i had Field Name, Field Size, Data type, Data Format, Example and Description. was that right? there was a correction in the syllabus for it...

Same and trolls, without saying trolls cos any marker that knows what a troll is, isn't really a marker.

Same thats what i mentioned as well >> not having access to technology. I also talked about how it could abused and the loss of interpersonal relationships - considering its a virtual reality thing

for the GPS thing i was about to use the tracking of kids thing but i didnt know what it was called so i talked about remote computer monitoring in classrooms where the teacher can view the screens of each child pc remotely....... now that i think about it, i should of just talked about the child gps thing (looks like i got that wrong)

The system contained a GPS, beeping noise/voice command and was used to limit speed so how did you incorporate that into livestock?

I failed to find a different system that used the same concept so just used the same system and said fire/cops/ambo etc could use it to track people.

Hahaha yeah it's reassuring to know that if I did fail I didn't do it alone lol
Well technically if it used the GPS satellite and a tracking device surelyit's worth a mark at least right?

The farm stock idea is a good one though!

For the question where you had to draw the network of the wireless solution, what software did everyone put? I had no idea man I just put device drivers and ethernet installed in the switch?

I did the same as you for the schema

I had table one 'customer', table two 'songs' and table three 'download' with ID and download link of a particular song. And relate a field in each to the next table.

For the alternative Technologies I put tracking Mountain Climbers and putting some Heart Rate and Temperature monitoring systems to help with tracking the health stats of the Climber.

For that GPS one, I did truck driver bosses monitoring the movements of all the trucks from a remote station - it still had the same concept, but the information was beamed somewhere else, where the commander could then inform the truck drivers where to pick stuff up/drop it off.
