Which one is a better scholarship to take?

CO-OP from UTS, CO - OP from UNSW or A merit scholarship from USYD?

I am thinking Co - op UNSW... any thoughts?

Depends on your uni preference..

in terms of money, unsw > uts > merit

but uni preference >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> money

The way of judging "value" can be based on what you get really...

in terms of money, as I said UNSW > UTS > USYD

but UNSW and UTS coop give u work experiences...

So UNSW = UTS > USYD perhaps?

it's the name of the scholarship that gives u like 15000. It's probably the hardest one to get apparently...only 2 available

I agree, except i'd go to UNSW over UTS because of the"prestige" factor.
So for me, UNSW >= UTS > USYD XD

idk...the prospect of work experience with more money? haha

besides, for person like me + anna who want to do engineering and commerce, we all know that UNSW is probably better than USYD...

Yeah, work experience is a major factor.

And yeah, UNSW > USyd for engineering and commerce XD

yeah unsw is better for eng, but I really don't understand the fascination with work experience - you can get vac work anyway, and get paid more for it...plus co-op restricts you as to the companies you work with...I know some guys doing vac work overseas, getting paid for it, and having the whole travel aspect as well..

hmmmm ye true. But it's reeally hard getting work experience in the first year

well when I went down to canberra, for nysf, the companies we visited there all took first years for vac work....plus there are particular programs with a designed for summer break, and they don't care what year you're in e.g. nasa academy (have to be u.s. citizen, but I'm working on that)

even if you can't get vac work, do you really want to sacrifice the freedom just to get work in your first year?

Wait, you guys doin engo + commerce = awesome. I want to do this degree but my rents and other people tell me commerce and engo arent the best together. Coz i might as well as do a staright civil degree then if i really want do a commerce, but by the time i finish my civil ill prolly just wanna stay with it...

Any comments guys?

It only adds an extra year on top of engineering, and shouldn't take any extra effort. It may even require less effort as a lot of people I know see commerce as a nice break from engineering
