Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, how are you guys estimating ATARS?
Do you need the ranks or the marks or both?

My school rank is 51
Internal Marks (i dont have the overall course mark, but this is the 2nd semester), and then rank in course:

English Advanced: 96, Rank 1
Physics: 90, Rank 2
Chemistry: 91, Rank 3
Mathematics Ext 2: 85, Rank 6
Mathematics Ext 1: 84, Rank 14
Latin Continuers: 82, Rank 2

Cheers in advance,

Davemate03

cheers guys, that makes me feel a lot better
I'm going for med, so my marks have to be around that.
I got 59 i.e. 89% in UMAT so I need to get 98.75 to get into UNSW

Oh and btw, which one of my subjects isn't going to count?

+ will someone explain how you are coming up with these estimates?

Actually, I just realised, my 1st semester marks/ranks weren't as good as
these. They were:

English Advanced: 84, Rank 28
Physics: 91, Rank 5
Chemistry: 78, Rank 17
Mathematics Ext 2: 77, Rank 11
Mathematics Ext 1: 85, Rank 18
Latin Continuers: 85, Rank 3

so with my 2nd semester marks/ranks

English Advanced: 96, Rank 1
Physics: 90, Rank 2
Chemistry: 91, Rank 3
Mathematics Ext 2: 85, Rank 6
Mathematics Ext 1: 84, Rank 14
Latin Continuers: 82, Rank 2

And since the 2nd semester is weighted higher (because of the trial),

how does this change your prediction?

- Music: 1/22
- Mathematics: 8/69

Your ranks are brilliant.
I'm pretty sure you'll ace HSC and get over 90.
Because your ranked high in your subjects our school rank won't matter that much.

(I think that's right but someone with more knowledge could clear that up more)
