I doubt internal marks would be that close between 1st and 6th, but i just thought he'd be better off safe than sorry XD

I'm 6th right, the top 5 are all extension and we all ended up <90%
So we are relatively close to each other.
If we all rock a 85% in the HSC. could we all pull a band 6?

105+ is way too high imho.

mid 90s should get you Band 6.

generally the hsc exam is harder then trials.
but our trial was quite hard highest was 102 lol..

Have you seen half of these q10's coming in trials. they are piss easy compared to HSC ones.
Our trial i admit i thought was hard but doable. but we all had wrong answers even the extension. and they arent stupid. HSC Q9-Q10 will be harder then trials. Other then that preety much same.

Totally agreed.

Q9+10 of most trials are like the level of Q8-9 in HSC.

Why settle for band 5. Go for band 6 and scale yourself.
I'm just going to make sure i attempt every question.
Try do Q1-8 in 1-1.5 hours. And spend as much time on Q9-Q10 so i get it.. but prob wont lol(Q10).
Hopefully get a good enough mark to finish 90+

Guys im thinking it cant be possible for me to get a band 6 even with 100% in externals.
I know my school mark is just over 80%, ive done all the weightings and stuff.
So how can I finish with band 6 if they are going to average this mark with the scaled maths HSC mark?

Your internal school assessment mark means nothing. Your assessment mark is made from the external bundle of marks. Depending on your rank/spread of marks/gaps the external examination marks will be spread out and moderated to each person in that cohort in that school doing Maths. I see you're ranked 6th so that's not too bad if it's a large class.
