you sicken me.

so your tryin to tell me people who are sexualy abusing children should not be put in jail.

you have lots of issues you sick old paedophile.
i suggest you go see a counclor.

if you have child pron in oyur possesion i think the feds should come to your house and lock ur pedo ass up
Viewing a video is never the same as sexually abusing children. To say so is disrespectful to the gravity of real sexual abuse.

Producers should receive harsh punishments, but imprisoning people for viewing, reading, or in any way consuming any sort of media is entirely pointless and destructive to innocent people's lives.

Watching a video is harmless and only very rarely has any relation to actual production and abuse of children.

That's right, let's start murdering people the state disagrees with, just like China or Iran!
Of course! It's a great idea! Then we can have a People's Army, a One Party system, etc...all those wonderful, wonderful things that China has. ;)

But seriously, just 'cause someone has views supporting the death penalty doesn't mean they support those other things. That's a fair leap. Give her a chance to explain her views.

So...just wondering your ideas on this, brittanica?

well thankyou for asking
i just think that there is way too many re offenders in society that commit such hanus crimes and simply walk away with a slap on the wrists because of some stupid legal loophole

Paedophilia is a subject that really erks me due to the amount of reoffenders that are released back into socitey near children.
There genitals should be cut off after the first offence end of story.
in my opinion they really dont deserve to live but having them suffer would be better, because the pain and torment and lives that they ruin to children is unexplainably disgusting and then they are allowed to re roam the streets of surburbia after there 10th accusation. it is far too common.
They cant be helped nor should they.

And for seriously messed up crimes like with mass murdering, convicted serial killers they also have problems too and so rather then wasting tax payers money on feeding such brutal creatures, the death penalty should be warranted.

BS! It encourages those sort of thoughts and makes it seem reasonable. you can't possible support the existence of such material and examples have to be set to deter others from contributing/creating/watching such material.

The state attempting to control and legislate in order to control people's thought is a nightmare. So long as these thoughts do not become actions, for which suitable legal response exists, there is no problem.

Do you believe individuals can change and choose sexual preference?

There are criminal penalties for the bolded.

i literally almost was sick from that commment
if i found out who you were not only would i shoot you in the face id also make sure you lived and put you in jail where i would tell every detainee to rape you several times everyday until you got out

peace

you make me sick
Though I don't agree with his opinion, it is far from sick - and I have derived much the same feelings for you as you have for him (mainly through your description of said feelings...) Get off your high horse and calm the fuck down.

Nope.

For me it basically comes down to: even if they deserve death, we do not deserve to kill them. Plus I'm a little wary when it comes to saying that anybody deserves death.

Also, if you want to go further than that, the death penalty, rather than being a deterrent, often proves to fuel the rate of the crimes it is aiming to dissuade people from doing. For example, let us have a nice long look at Texas. Up to a third of the death penalties are performed there, and it has one of the highest crime rates in America. Now let's play a little game called "joining the dots".

Also, could you please give me the source of this insightful information:

Agreed totally. The notion of 'deservedness' and 'the punishment fitting the crime' becomes problematic after a certain point. How can we possibly reciprocate the amount of cruelty within crimes such as mass murder and rape? And even if we could, this is incredibly inhumane, and simply makes us as bad as those we seek to punish. Also, the people carrying out the punishment would likely have serious psychological problems as a result.

The world isn't black and white. People are driven to commit crimes for a sorts of different reasons and these individuals may be products of social conditions that are completely unimaginable in their fucked-upness.

Moreover, laws are made with an unwritten set of social morals in mind. These are only prescribed to the individual through socialisation. Can we really go about killing individuals who have gone through a markedly different socialisation process than ourselves, because they breach the moral code of the dominant cultural group?

If we are going to formally demand that all human beings conform to our moral code, wouldn't it be better to integrate or rehabilitate them into conformity as opposed to just murder those who deviate?

its called the news
a recent example of this was Dennis Ferguson
pretty sure it was like his 6th or 7th accusation of child molestation and he was found not guilty, released and then moved next to a school. Guess what happened?
not too long later he was found stalking the young kids who attended the school.
He cant be re habilited, nor does he deserve the chance. He is a disgusting man who has ruined peoples lives just like everyother rapist and paedophile. So your going to tell me after ruining so many peoples live we should help them? i dont think so. They deserve to suffer just like they have made other people.

people who takle aadvantage of younger kids should not be allowed to be on the streets and should be lokced up and throw away the key also why would they lets them out in the first place. most of them are just creepy and wrinkely old men who cant find a wife so they have to support their sexual fantacies buy taking advantage of young people..

anyone who thinks that its ok to do that you should take a look at your self in the mirror and ask your self how fed up you would be if someone raped you when you were a kid and they got away with it. i bet the people who have and are reading this at the moment are agreeeing with me in sayin your life is runiied.

why would they watch it in the first place. they are little kids for god sake. would you like it if someone videoed you having sexual releations when you were a child, i dont think so

so if you wanna watch it you have issues.

videoing people who are the right age i still beleive is wrong. but what they concent to do with their body is up to them. but a little girl or boy for example is just fucking wrong.

I think that we should err on the side of being too liberal and give them a vote. They're not a large voting bloc and they have extremely poor political will and representation, so I don't think they could pose a political threat even if they wanted to.
But why let them?

We don't apply the same logic to a video of someone being murdered. Often such footage is shown on news broadcasts, and many photographs of people being murdered are actually very famous.

Would you like it if someone killed you and filmed it? Of course not.

Can we assume that anyone who views images of someone being killed is also sick and needs to be preemptively imprisoned even though they have not harmed anyone? Afterall, killing a person is a horrific and sick act just like child abuse, so why do we not also assume that anyone who views this is sick.

We need to separate the bad act (murder, child abuse ect) from the act of merely viewing the act.

so ur sayin that you have seen someone who has been killed on national television (besides famous people eg. presidents that have been assinated, and assosiates of the royal or political people.)

most of the stuff on news casts you see are about murders they never acctually show the murder unless (stated above in bracketts) they just see the crime scene and on the occasion you will see the deseased person, never the actual murder.

and plus in the news if they do show the body of a deseased person they will blurr out the face of then deseased person for legal reasons, in the videos of child pronography they to my understanding do not blurr out the face a any person.

i never said that they souldn't get the same punishment.
True. But currently they don't get the same punishment, they are regarded totally differently. That was the main point.

So are you saying that we should also lock up people who view images of murder? Should I be sent to jail for posting that link?
