back in 07 they had a slight deviation from syllabus as well.
also i agree with the difficulty a lot of people got lower than expected as well.
typical CSSA paper.
average was about 60% anyway.
those who got 75%+ got band 4 or 5.
very good indicator of what you get in hsc chem.

Maths is the same like that. When I did it last year, my teachers actually had tables which they created from CSSA trial and HSC marks for 4u and 3u.

did anybody else get that??? :S :S :S

also, in the multiple choice

wtf does eutrophication mean? i totally guessed that 1 n sed it was caused by power stations?

A crap i screwed it. I knew the value was too large :burn::burn::burn::burn::burn::burn::burn:
Eutrophication = excessive algal growth caused by an excessive of nutrients (mainly phosphates and sulfates) in water systems.

Yeah. I got %sulfate as in the 70s. What did everyone get for that Multiple choice question: Eutrophication?

Oh i got it in the 70s too. I thought i had screwed it because with other questions it was usually ~3% but when i checked it i couldn't find an error. Thanks for making me feel better XD

And for the euptrophication i put the plant/garden thingy because i assumed run off from the fertilisers would've caused the eutro. I was thinking of the power stations too but my brain just kept on saying, no they only produce gaseous oxides of nitrogen and sulfate :/
