To be honest, I can live with that :p I want to get into law, the cutoff for law at UWS varies between 90-95.

End of the day, majority of students who genuinely get the UAI [now ATAR] would probably just accept the offer from UTS/USYD/UNSW.

Hopefully I get into the B Arts/B Law combined degree.
Good luck doing Arts/Law split campus.
Thus why I chose Commerce.
Thus why I've now moved unis to DROP commerce, to do arts on the one campus.

And yeah, cut offs at Parramatta were lower by >1 UAI increment for both Law courses in 2008.

So your doing Arts+Law right?

I'm choosing Arts+Law because I want it. Which uni have you moved to?

wouldn't moving Uniz means starting all over??? coz of da stuff u missed out?

More often *already done units* can count towards a similar course that's taken up at a different university. You need to tell em about it. It sorta is starting all over but sorta not...

i REALLY REALLY hope???
I know THAT feeling. My marks vary from averageish to abover-average. Not flashy however just a bit satisfactory. It's eating the two of us alive I guess. Can't wait for 20th of Jan.

Eco: 58 (3rd out of nine, that's how shit my school is)
Ancient Hist: 61 (like 6th out of 25, yup shit school)
Physics: 41 (9th out of 14) (shit shit shit shit shit)
Advanced English: 75 (4th out of 13, yeah shit school aye)
Gen Math: 75 (like 5th out of 45, lol)

So yeah, your not alone, we're not alone I bet. My mate got like 53 UAI last year, and got into B ARts at UWS (like 70 UAI last year), I'll probbaly beat that 52 UAI of his, but BADLY hopeing the unexplainable UWS selection thing works out for us.

Good luck you-leh!

BTW, which school do you attend? if you don't mind telling of coarse :)

Now I'm doing Arts/Law, yeah, at Notre Dame.

I was going to apply for Notre Dame a few weeks ago for that early offers thing, but turned out that it's not a CSP, and I cannot afford to pay up front!

Unless I'm mistaken :S Lemme know!

2 of the 4 subjects I did this semester I will be getting advanced standing for (I won't have to repeat them).
The other 2 were a bit of a waste.

Make sure u get at least band 4 in english and maths (it's a requirement for teaching in nsw), or else u have to complete additional requirements at uni to complete ur degree. Since u do standard english, work hard!!! Good luck

I have a few mates that got in with CRAP UAIs in 2008.

Mate one: got asterisk, got into UWS Computing
Mate two: Had apprix 45-55 uai, UWS Computing
Mate three: 52 UAI, BA [asian studies and international relations]

I guess it depends on which course. I guess Law or Medicine would be hardest. A girl friend of mine, I assume wouldnt have gotten past 65 uai knowing her, she got into BBC [accounting).

Best of luck. I'm hoping to get into BA [cos that's what I WANT!]
really? i got low 40's i get a few bonus atar points can i still get in to financial advising (63.4) and BBC? (72.55 @ parra and 68.8 at campbelltown)
