An Arts degree, like many degrees, is a great thing to have and add to what is hopefully an already strong background. Its great to havea degree that is specialised. But there is no set path for success unfortunately. You can be honors student, and not have the social skills to take you anywhere outside of academic land. You can have an Arts degree and serve beers. Fine. But you can also have an Arts degree, get a great job in a finance company or a bank, then use it to vault onto somethng specific like im doing possibly later as a masters.
Point is everyones different and the same degree will never look the same being held by 2 different people. Resume's and interviews establish that. Actually having worked in a bank as a middle manager helps me vaildate what I am saying. (ie I have actually had a job). That and on my transcirpt I will have done stats, maths, finance and some accounting and eco subjects. I have completed my DIP in FIN PLANNING also so dont think arts students are necessarily maccas workers.
As for this knob who is talking about all degrees being shit but his own, go figure - truly boredofstudies. You dont know shit about shit you little child. Real world called, fuck off.
