I've seen a lot of people doing humanities getting 98+ UAI's, however most of them said they had to average 95+ for all their assessments internally and externally to attain that UAI. So just wondering, if you do humanities and get marks in low 90's could you still get a 90+ uai/atar or could it also end up in the 80's?

1. Are talking about Raw Mark or Scaled Mark?
2. Depends on which subject you do.

Well, if your getting raw 90's in all your internal assessments(assignment/exams/etc)
could you still manage a high 90's uai ? Or is there a possibility of even going down to the 80s? ie : 85-89

subs:

A.History
Legal Studies
SOR 2U
Society & Culture
- Eng Adv.

Yes it is possible to get high 90's UAI with low raw 90s.
It's even possible to get it with high 80's.

But to maximise your chance, you ofcourse want your marks to be as high as possible.

Oh really? I hope you're right >.<
lol i am trying, but my average doesn't seem to change
History for eg: every assessment this year I've gotten either 18/20 - 20/20 and my average is 91 and i just cant get it to change. Similar things are happening in all my subs. It's getting really frustrating.

Exam mark is what you scored in the exam which is already moderated. The final scaled mark is what counts towards your UAI/ATAR. To achieve an UAI/ATAR of 90+, you'll need to be at the Top 1 - 5% range for Ancient History, Legal Studies and SOC as they are low scaling subjects. Top 10% for English Adv. and SORII will be fine.

^ im confused....so everything scales down??? :S
In reality, pretty much every subject scales down aside from math extension 2 and a few other subjects. BUT people usually talk about relative scaling though, so you might hear that math extension 1 scales up very well --> which is true when compared to other subjects which scale comparatively horribly...
