i'm in year twelve this year and my parents want to move, only a suburb away, so it wouldn't impact on my travel time to school etc, and they were looking at moving in about july-august or later, which would be near my trials. my grandparents have said they'll come down to sydney for two weeks and i can live with them, especially if i have exams, so i don't have to deal with trying to study with everything going on around me and having to look after my little sisters.

so, has anyone moved in year twelve? is it too disruptive? any opinions would be great, thanks =]].

My friend moved last week, she took 2 days off school, and packed and everything.
She said it's alright, not too distracting, even when she has her 3 little brothers around. It's all settled now, so it didn't really impact on her studies.

that's good, a little bit relieving. whenever i've said anything to anyone, they're all like OMG you're not moving in year twelve?!?!?! and i got worried haha. but things would work out that i'd move near my trials or even in the middle of them, so yeah.

I'm moving next week. I doubt I'll need to miss any school, but even if I take that day off to celebrate finally leaving the crapshack I'm currently in, it still won't affect me much if at all.

Are you unsure exactly what moving house involves, hermand? Cos i would've thought it's quite obviously a relatively quick process, involving very little missed/interrupted school time. Unless you are talking about moving house, which I imagine would be an altogether different and undoubtedly more difficult process, even if you were there to help.

Wow, that's awkward. And you're right, the internet doesn't really convey sarcasm or other tones very well does it. Of course I'd call you dani, that post was just meant to be read in a patronising, ridiculing tone, because of how overly worried you were about moving, though it obviously didn't come thru....

sigh. school takes too much out of me, and i just don't get anything anymore haha.

you don't need to study for oc though..... and noone really cares about whether you got into oc or not, but uai counts for the rest of your life... so it's a massive difference.
