I didn't go. I don't regret it one bit. The last thing I wanted to do after graduating was be cooped up in some shitty hotel room with a bunch of bitchy girls I had to put up with through school. I had a much better time in a quiet coastal town in northern NSW with my closest friends from different schools just surfing and chilling. Surfers Paradise is the biggest hole. Schoolies is a waste of money (my accom. cost less than 1/4 than some crappy Surfers unit and I stayed in a 5 bdrm beachfront house. I have by far heard more "it was overrated" over "it was awesome". I've only stayed in contact with about 3 girls from school so I seriously didn't "miss out" on anything!
