School's rank doesn't affect anyone.

However, one's ranks at school matter.

Ok, I'm not trying to talk down your great UAI or anything, but 98.65 at my school lies below median and people that get in the 80s are considered 'bludgers'.

also, my grade only had 70 students, lulz.
the year before mine had 92 and in 05 they only had 20.
we're pretty itty bitty in terms of year 12 student population

Who said low ranking schools cant get 100?
even some schools that are ranked in the top 20 wont get a single student with 100, since its pretty much limited to the top 20 students in the state and not all of them attend James Ruse =P
geez, if your a prodigy who can get a perfect score, then attending a school that's ranked 300 or below wont make any difference

I've been trying to find information about kids who went to low ranked schools and still got high UAIs for ages but all I find is information about kids who go to the top 100 schools.

my school is ranked down there, near 400th. is that bad to you? cause it doesnt really restrict our UAI's. we had ~a dozen 90+ in 2008 and a few years ago we had a student who got in the high 99's.

if you really want it, school doesnt matter at all.

hmm low ranked school affect your marks?
wells we had a kid in 2007 who got a UAI of 99.70 and my school is ranked 5xx
cant remember what it was around 550 i think
also our dux for 2008 got 98.65 so in short no... lol

Well since there are ~900 schools, about 450+ is in my opinion low ranked.
