EDIT: imo. =p

But you got to love the variations and line in his bowling! And poor Henriques, gets run out in a mix up on his debut.

i remember when he used to bowl around the wicket in his 2nd spell which was usually at the death bowling.
don't know why he stopped doing that, he really cramped the batsmen when he did that; as opposed to bowling over the wicket; he can get taken to the cleaners sometimes (1 game vs the nzers i remember in particular)

^Yeah, like his last ball.

Looking forward to the Test match series in SA. And also the Ashes. Hope the Poms play like they did a couple of days ago in the West Indies - being bowled out for 51.

I was a bit confused at the media reporting on Brett Lee saying he is set to make a comeback for the ashes which would be a 'boost' to the side.

Past his prime IMO. Yet the Australian selectors will still pick him for the ashes which we'll lose and then they'll say the same crap they always do about picking players on form which will last for 1 match.

i do beleive that brett lee in form could be a major factor in winning the ashes, whether or not he can return to form after this injury is to be seen, but aus could really do with him 'leading' the attack again with early wickets and pressure on the middle order.

speaking of early wickets i think that will be the key in SA test series, if aus cant take early wickets to get pressure on Kallis, AB, duminy then the series will slip away from them, they just cant let greame smith dictate the terms

I'm confident that we will beat SA all the pressure is on them and they don't cope well when under pressure
Also the batting lineup is not so good McKenzie is hopeless, Smith was great this summer but seems to go better overseas then at home,Kallis lacks the desire he used to have,Jp is a class act but is under alot of pressure and can only go downhill from here and AB is hot and cold and not much of a threat.
With Hussey back in form he will score heavily this series and Johnson will continue to get wickets.
Aus 2-0

Can I have some of what you are smoking?

SA are unofficially the best team in the world and will certainly be officially No. 1 by the end of this tour. I would love to share your opinion but SA are frankly too superior in too many departments at this stage. It's not like we have had a chance to regroup and rebuild either. Hughes is a good long-term selection buts its our bowling that has really let us down.

McGain? Please. We have gone downhill big time. Johnson will star as per usual but he cannot carry the load by himself. I predict 1-0 to SA. Our negative approach will jag a couple of draws, but we will never be a live chance of winning the series.

End of day 2.

AUS All out for 466
SA 3/85.

Hope this doesn't turn out like the first Test in India. *fingers crossed*

Not a bad total for the aussies against the saffa's though. Johnson :(.
