I like to bring Post-it notes, as well as all the other bare essentials. Y'know, just to doodle on and stick on things.

They're useful when you want to:
  • Write the location of a book in the library,
  • Remind yourself that next week's Psych lectures are cancelled,
  • Bookmark a page in your textbook,
  • Write down a classmate's phone number or email,
  • Or write down the reference for an article from JSTOR.

But mostly useful to draw pictures on.

-something to write with
-something to write on

this is pretty much it, if you're OCD or orgasm when you shop at officeworks you'll probably want to go for fancy-ass notebooks and pens and folders and bla bla bla but just think about what you will actually end up doing in reality, which is write half-assed notes on some form of paper and leave them on your floor until exams when you will then regret not being organised and vow to do better next year. repeat cycle.

Its week 1 and my notes are already on the floor. There's no point even vowing to do better.

write with a posh MontBlanc pen, and get the ones that are probably more expensive than laptops, like the ones with mini diamond or gemstone on.
that will definitely stand you out
