i m a new student going to yr 1 (BCA)
and i m stucked in planning my timetable
1 .i wanna put them all in 3days/wk. (wondering if it is usual?")
2 .and, generally how many hrs/day will be called "ok" ? i mean, not overloaded?
3. does it matter whether i put lecture of tut the first?
4. and one stupid question again, hows the workload of Year 1 generally? coz i hav a partime job which require me to work on some of the weekday. wonder if it is possible.

appreciatttttted it..

Isnt it like, 1 credit point = roughly 3 hours of work per week, so if each of your units are worth 3cp you should spend about 9 hours of work on each of them a week.

1) yes 3 days a week is usual. espically for first year as the units have so many students doing them, heaps of options for classes. i only go 1/2 days a week depending if i could be bothered to go to my lecturers, and yes im full-time. (12cp)
2) Usually a 3cp unit has 2 hours of lect. and 1 hour tute. Then you are meant to do on top of that 6 hours at home per week. This will depend on the grades you are wanting to get, and how easy you find the units.
3) no, tute material is on the PAST week's lecture.
4) You will easily manage a part time job and full time uni.
