What happened this afternoon?
A document was inadvertently published which contained UAI cut-offs for some university courses. It was reproduced on this website by some of our members.
Rafy closed the thread and removed the links to the cut-offs PDF on my request.
I was contacted by UAC who expressed genuine concerns about the effect that the publication of the cut-offs document independently of offers might have on some students.
If your UAI was below one of the published cut-offs, it does not mean you have not received an offer in the main round.
Many universities use a range of selection criteria in addition to the UAI - for example, performance in individual HSC courses, or other 'bonus point' schemes. The decision to make an offer to a student is always up to the particular institution.
Please do not stress about anything that you have seen or read this afternoon. The cut-offs document is only a secondary source and says nothing about whether offers have been made to particular students.
Students who are concerned to know whether or not they have received an offer should access the UAC website from 9 pm on Wednesday night.
