Two of my Weis and Hickman (Fire Sea and The Seventh Gate) books are yet to arrive because Dymocks didn't appear to have any in stock when I ordered.

I obviously have a preference of fantasy, and seem to only buy books in other genres that I know are popular or that I have heard good things about.

arrggghhh I don't remember

erm

I move around a lot and books are heavy so heaps get left behind.

gazillions of textbooks
Hilary Clinton's bio
stuff in chinese
some manga
Kafka - The Castle
Byatt - Possession
Almost all of Jane Austen and Charles Dicken's works
The stuff I have to read for school

I can't remember.

Edit:
My Dad takes up too much of bookshelf room for me to get any space. And that's saying a lot since two walls of our study is covered with shelves. And it's mostly related to his work as well, which is terribly boring! chemistry and things like that. I've amused myself by reading some of his Masters and PhD student's thesis, I know too much about agriculture grrr
I just realised how much non book stuff I have on my shelves! I found nail polish! sparkly pink nail polish! I rule.

National Geographic guidebook to Italy <3 Italy
Stacks of John Grisham (you know, The Client etc etc I'm not going to name them all they all start with The, and that annoys me)
Isabelle Carmody - Obernewtyn series
so many fucking study guides, including for subjects I don't even do, like bio and physics, and some going back to yr 10. wtf did I need study guides in yr 10 for?
Beloved - Toni Morrison
The Invisible Man - Ralph Ellison
Fireflies - Rabindranath Tagore - it's an illustrated version, and the pictures are wonderful. He was the only Asian ever to win a Nobel Prize for Literature.
so much stuff on Chinese literature and poetry I've never read rofl
some German composer's guide to learning violin (my piano books are on top of the piano. Czerny, technical work, and compilations of pieces.

I've been reading Discworld and downloading some stuff as well...but in general no time for novels any more - I usually read the papers and so on.

I don't own many books as such, I tend to borrow a lot from my Dad (his collection being mostly Clancy, Ludlum, Grisham etc), and the local library.
