Don't worry. This only happens when you first enter UNSW. It's just to confirm you are that person.

Yeah.. that seems right, because when I first set my UniPass this was when i accepted the offer, and I think the only check they used was my DOB and UAC number I think. This seemed odd, because anyone who know's your DOB and student number could set your uni pass.

Yeah ROFL that's right! UNSW does seem to have a poor sense of security there. I don't think UAC told you dudes to not tell anyone your UAC number right?

They only said, don't tell people your UAC Pin.

Lol anyhow you definitely do not want to lose your student id or pass to someone else you know. It's always easy to change your unipass right after you've received that receipt.

Because the UAC number is the same as the BOS student number, with a 1 in the front, your school, and often your class mates know your number, and your school and your classmates most likely know your DOB.

I'm surprised that there have not been problems already!

Haha makes it a real concern with Facebook and stuff nowadays. Same with the address checking etc.

Ok I better not say more, since this forum is public I don't want another student's identity to be stolen. You dudes will learn how easy almost it is to around UNSW's online system.

I reckon the reason why its never happened is because at Uni, pranks don't happen anymore, pretty much everyone's serious.
