What's the deal with wristbands?
What do you need them for and how are they used - apparently you need them to get into your accomodation and your not allowed to enter schoolies parties and stuff without them is this true? And is it only for gold coast or does this include all schoolies destinations e.g. Byron Bay

You are getting mixed up with security/accomodation passes and wristbands. Security passes are issued by who you book your accomodation with and is needed to get in to your accomodation. Wrist bands are issued by the Qld government and are only for schoolies hub/beach party etc. to keep toolies out - they are only issued week 1 (Qld week) since the other week dont have the official organised events for all ages. Afaik wrist bands are only for gold coast.
