Who here has to do workplacement whilst doing the HSC???
I do and it sux!!!
I miss out on a whole week of school and we all know how important it is that we don't skip days!
let me know what you think of it.

lol my friends did it for prelim and i can remeber the day when they came back. they would not stop whinging about how much they hated it. plus it was a week before our yr 11 yearlies and they complained how they were deprived a week of revision..

the work placement i did in yr 11 for hospitality was so crap but in yr 12 at a different place it was fun!

hmm, doing ur WP during HSC? thats weird...

I did mine in the second last week of 2002 for prelim & second last week of april for the HSC & so I didn't miss out on much but I think I got alot out of the workplacement

I did Work Placement in year 11, I hated it so much, luckily I was with a friend and we made the most of our time there.

I never did it cos I don't do any vet courses, but some of my friends did it and lets just say they didn't exactly enjoy it!

i did my work placement when i had 2 english assessments due, and a few exams coming up, i ended up studying at work placement and watching jackass lol...

What exactly is work placement? Are you sent some where to work which is related to the course you are doing or something?

I guess it counts for work experience as well?

:uhhuh: very much like work experience. just that the tafe or wherever picks the place you go to.. sometimes they ask you to find a place, but its rare

I did retail and I got sent to K-Mart. K-Mart! I mean, not a great place for excitement.
