Regarded as the best uni in australia... the aus uni with the best reputation internationally... lower and more realistic entry scores than say unsw and usyd.

They have a really good international studies major in arts
They specialise in international law and public law which really interest me-they have a lot more international law electives then other law schools.
law is only (relatively spaking) 95, yet still very highly regarded.
they have more exchange agreements signed with other countries than any other aus uni, including several french unis which i so want to do.
i have to move out of home no matter what, and canberra is a hellof a lot cheaper to live than sydney.

mmmm that's about it.

for me it was the move away from home factor, leaving home is good.
it forces you to grow up and is a big test of character, looking forward to moving out of college next year and into my own home, I think that is the way to go. year in college then own home.

in terms of the uni class size is ecellent very smal compared to some unis.
and somthing thats not spoken about much, not sure if its at other unis, the students decide the weighting of assesments in conjunction with the course supervisor. This is across all schools and faculties in the uni.
In science at least, each module of the course is taught by an expert in that particular area instead of one person teaching an entire course and all tutors are => phd students.

We also have a beach campus at kiloa, you can use for a weekend for 'academic' purposes :)

Nonsence! Seriously, save yourself the heartache; go to sydney. ANU is not for you. Terrible...

the only reason they're so low is because the uni's in canberra as opposed to syd, where the nightlife is.

Also because the majority of HSC students would be from the Sydney region. Im amazed the cutoff is still so high despite its geographic location.

lol more likely to do with the whole demand/supply balance, like mack said more HSC students/more people in sydney, they hav a higher demand but less places available hence UAIs rise :)

i would consider going to ANU, but i didn't put it on my 9 preferences...that will probably change after my UAI

I actually think the cutoff *would* be alot lower, except they distort it.

They take people besides EAS people who fall below the cutoff if you either

1) Get high marks in english or
2) Submit an application

though, if the 95 takes those two into account, that actually means the cutoff is about 96+ :-|

Eh, the only things I'll miss are

1) My girl
2) My parents doing my laundry
3) Red eye records
