I think everyone here gets tutoring in something apart from me. Then again, I live in the middle of nowhere, so yeah... tutor access isn't as strong. It's all down to me and what I can bug out of the teachers. :p

Ok, so what makes you think that?

depends, if you're completely lost at school, since your teacher is just useless, then tutoring is really for you.

The extensive tutoring discussion in a few other threads, and constant references from users "at tutoring" "I'm tutored by", etc. :p

Not everyone at BOS has tutoring, I think it depends exactly how you learn and how you study as to wether or not you need tutoring. Another factor to consider is how the knowledge\information was original taught as it may not have sunk in thus requiring tutoriing for that extra help.

I get tutored by the main man in Australia of Medical Radiation Physics.

Surry Hills based.

I'm doin 4u maths with him now and probably will do physics later.

$60 for two hours.

I'm not the type for tutoring but my parents reckon I should have got it and since then I've come in the top 10 of the grade for all of my assessments since and got a 96 in the HSC for 2u maths. Each to his own i suppose.

i don't get tutored because i personally think that the prices are a rip off. everything that is taught at tutor will be taught at school sooner or later.

I get tutored and it's great :D:D

Well the point of tutoring is to accelerate students so when they learn it at school it will just be another revision class for them, and can also reinforce their knowledge

But others get tutoring because they are struggling
I go to North Shore for MX1 and MX2 for 4 hours altogether, about $80 all up. I will go to Pre-uni next term for Chemistry, don't know about the cost though

pLuvia and Riviet, it's obvious that you two get tutored.

Tutoring is meant to help you get onto your feet if you are falling behind- that's the main reason why parents go out to look for one. If i need additional help, i'd ask a friend, the teacher or post that question on this site

omg, and I'm a free tutor. It's like we're made to be :p

I never got tutored during the HSC, although the school brought in a conversation tutor for 3U Japanese.

I don't get tutoring, never have, and personally don't think I need to.
