hey can anyone give me some info on each of the majors for a commerce or economics degree? i have looked them up on the unsw and usyd websites and most of them seem pretty interesting... but i am just wondering where can i get information/stats on the average salaries/employment rates of graduates of each major? thx in advance

hmm what do you fancy at the moment?

Accounting, finance economics and perhaps marketing are the orthodox choices. Accounting + finance with good grades usually gets you somewhere quite decent. Actuarial studies means alot of maths but seems like it has pretty good prospects too.

Infosys is said to be a watered down version of computer science... you can argue it focuses more on practical issues blah blah, but that could easily be learned on the job, time at uni is better spent learning technical things which one doesn't really have the time for once one starts to work.


With most things there's a tradeoff.. between a few things:
Salary, work hours/environment, employment prospects. Search google for some information about each of the disciplines
