When do we start using textbooks? (1 Viewer)

I havent bought any of my textbooks yet, and im not sure when i will be getting them. In the first week of uni, do i must have the books ready?

no.... for alot of the units you dont even need a textbook... You get it once the lecturers tell you to buy it or bring it etc..

You can go without them for a while as you can just go to the library and photocopy whatever chapters you need to read. Sometimes it is actually cheaper to photocopy the entire textbook rather than buying it.

if ur doing bio 1 u def need the textbook. some lecturers shape their lecs around the textbook. its also got a cd in the back that the lecturer used last year for the mid sem exam. :)

What what cd?? my bio textbook didnt come with a cd in the back

Our Torts lecturer expected us to have our textbook with us.
Business, not so much.
