Lecture: Whole course is usually in one of these. Bigger courses might have two.
Seminar: Usually between a lecture and tutorial size. Small enough to engage with the lecturer, large enough not necessarily have to speak.
Workshop/Tutorial: About the same size as a school class. Workshops can be different from a tutorial, but all the ones I've had have been different in name only.
