Whats the diff Music 1 and Music 2? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys. Im doing Music 1 this year in prelim and plan to stick with it in hsc year. Ive seen alot of Music 2 being thrown around here. Can someone tell me the difference between music 1 and music 2. thanks

Music 2 pretty much focuses on music of the last 400 yrs (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th century/post romantic and Australian music of last 25 yrs). The music structure is more complex, you have to know your music techniques, concepts etc.etc There is little to no contemporary/popular music in the syllabus and you have to at least play an instrument proficiently and at least have some interest in classical music.

I believe Music 1 is contemporary but since I don't know anyone who does it, I cannot comment.
