I may be interested in doing a double degree of somesorts at a particular university but what does everyone think the course quality for these courses are nationally? And which is the best places to do them?

If anyone could provide some sort of list ranking the best from the worst, I'd be keen on researching them or finding out more about them.

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: What's the best university in Australia to study Science, Biomedicine or Engineer

1) I Wouldn't do biomed unless you want to do a PhD (takes ~7 years) and do research where you won't be paid as much as your engineering friends who already own their own homes while you have finally earned the right to be called Dr.
2) Really depends on the subject - science is such a broad field and so is engineering.)
3) The city and distance to uni are the next important things - a 2 hour each way commute will just piss you off

Now to post my tier list and piss off all the UNSW asians (Read left to right then down)

God tier:
ANU/UMelb/USyd
My family would disown me if I didn't go to a sandstone university tier:
Monash/UQ/UNSW/MQ/USA/UWA
Who gives a shit tier - still going to get a job:
Trade/TAFE/Any university which has a minimum req of 70 ATAR
Who gives a shit - I am going to apply for 100 places for one interview tier:
Commerce(Management, HR, Marketing and Accounting or any other major with less than a 65 average or networking)/Any university which has a mimumum req of 60 ATAR
NEVER GOING TO EARN ENOUGH TO PAY BACK MY HECS tier:
Arts(Minus some majors i.e. corprate information services) and any university which has portfolio entry
LOWER THAN ARTS tier:
Online Paper Mills (Online Unis Australia does not come under this.)

Dont listen to this guy, hes putting unsw under usyd (for engineering) which is by definition wrong and is like saying 1+1=5.. just absurd

lol for science i'd go USyd and I'd go to USyd anyway to get away from the shitty general education model though I do know that UNSW has better engineering.

Yeah, like everyone said, USYD science>UNSW science and UNSW engineering>USYD engineering.

somehow i think the GUG is heavily biased towards UNSW. not saying UNSW sucks of course. its very, very close to usyd. i'd put usyd a tiny bit higher though.

I thought Sunday came afterwards

Best for engineering? I think it's Monash nationally, then UNSW. Can't really comment on others. However, ANU is an excellent postgrad university (if that interests you) from what I've heard/read as well.

Yeah I'd go to Monash too as Melb is sooo much better than Sydney - I wouldn't bother going to Canberra for Engineering though.

Yeah anyway, unsw is better than usyd in engineering and commerce and social life... Unsw is compacted, have common hang out area, meet new chicks and can always meet up wif ur mates with a phone call.. usyd, one lives off lakemba campus, the other lives in paramatta campus or sum shit and campuses are separated by big polluted roads..which means random ppl walk thru ur campus, lackin secruity...

I think you have UWS and Sydney Uni mixed up.

That said, there are common hang out areas at UNSW. You'll find most people in the Quadrangle, Library Lawn or outside the Red Centre at lunchtime - methinks.

^ yes but you don't socialise with people from other campuses because you don't know them.... you can make plenty of friends on your own campus and don't have to commute on roads to your friends at lunch time... :/
yes its true that city road runs right through main campus... but so what? ...
