With taxes??? Are you seriouS??? dude NO way lol. Hedge Fund Management gives salaries of over 1 billion dollars pa. No joke. Look it up on googleDentist
I thought I may as well put a proper answer to this. Initially both doctors and lawyers are on similar salaries (circa $70k) but the law salaries definitely climb a lot faster than the medicine ones. To get to the higher salaries in medicine you need to specialise and/or open your own practice- both of which require time and capital. Law, like other professional occupations (i.e. accounting) typically have your development and growth costs borne by respective employers who need to train you up to be more useful, but at the same time they need to pay you enough to motivate you and stop you from leaving to go to the private sector. Whilst medicine also has the public vs. private sector, the draw from one or the other isn't as significant as what I'd see in a professional occupation whereby the firms need to do a lot more to attract and retain talent from leaving to an easier and better paid job in industry.usually people say doctor or lawer
