I've seen all different types of answers, but most of them don't sound right.

Outline the difference between first hand and secondary sources

From my understanding, first hand is if you collected the data yourself, so e.g. NASA's information of mars and secondary would be when you take the data from somewhere else, e.g. a textbook.

First hand is confirmed data i believe, so possibly a diary entry from that time period, and secondary sources were not there, so possibly an opinion?
