Ways of incresing current produced in a generator. (1 Viewer)

Basically there is a question asking for threee ways in which more current could be produced. Is current directly proportionate to emf?

So should i use the formula emf=nBLvsin(theta)?

So is an acceptable answer:

1. Increse # of loops
2. Increse Magnetic field strength
3. turn the coil faster

Help would be appreciated

Yep. Those answers are the most common and easiest to remember for a question like that.

since emf = - d phi/ dt

and phi is a function of area as well. making the loop bigger can help as well...


on a side note... is it me or are there alot of double posting these days?

ε = ΔΦ/Δt, you mean ? (or ε = -n ΔΦ/Δt where n is the number of turns)
I avoid using calculus because the General Maths kiddies would be placed at a disadvanage.
To expand on your point, Φ = BA so increasing surface area seems a good option.
Maybe this isn't as necessary but turn it quicker, cause a small amount of time/change of time influences induced emf.
