I'm planning to buy a computer based on intel E 6300 core2 duo processor with 1g ddr2 - 667 ram and 250G harddisk. Please suggets which mainboards support this processor? Also tell me what else I have to do to get a decent speed. Can I use ddr2- 800 with the cpu? I'm a novice, so tell me tech.details so that I can ask the shop to make one for me. If you know where can I get good price, please let me know. Any help is welcome.

There are many motherboards which support Core 2 Duo right now. Look for LGA775 socket boards. Asus and Gigabyte has quite a few out there.

Yes, you can use DDR2-800. But are you going to be overclocking the processor signficantly? If you plan on running it stock the whole time, you'd even do well just sticking with DDR2-533.
