for one component of my english assignment i require a visual image.

i was looking for something which shows the clash of culures which the aboriginals have faced. preferably an image which shows how they have an internal conflict which has arisen because of colonisation, with their internal conflict revolving around the fact that their culture has been ripped off them as they have been forced to assimilate but because they have not been embraced they are caught between two cultures both of which they do not belong in.

so i know this is a long shot but does anyone have an image which they feel would be applicable to this type of situation.

"The Rabbits" by Shaun Tan which is a picture book has many pictures that exactly fit your description.

A lot of the museums around Sydney would have artworks of Aboriginal displays on their sites. However, kaz1 is correct - if you're looking for an allegorised version, The Rabbits is the way to go.
