Is the Diploma of Business and Commerce standard program completed in a year? It says it consists of "3 semesters (12 months)" or do they don't count the holidays in between the semesters? I thought most diplomas were completed in a year and a half and only contained 2 semesters?

There are 3 semesters, http://www.uwscollege.edu.au/fees/dates/2012_semester_dates. As you can see here are only very short breaks between semesters; Most students will probably be able to enrol in their second year at UWS the next year if they pass subjects in the diploma.
