my gf's doing a talk at the IT building about woman in IT
she didn't want to be giving out any BOS stickers though :/

I went today... I got that motivation I needed. The tours and mini-lectures were really good. I went to the nursing labs and got a glimpse of UTS nursing life.

There was free ice cream, drinks, SMH and BBQ so I'm not complaining

i went today since we had to go to an excel thing for bstats. the freebies werent as great as they were 2 years ago =( oh well. free ice-cream ftw!

I was in the city around 3pm and really contemplating going, but I didn't know what time it finished so didn't bother. oh well, I'll definitely be there next year.

:wave: lol UTS is cool. People are so much more down to earth at UTS then at sydney. At sydney they were making jokes about the other UNI's. WTF. Weirdos.

At sydney however, everything was much more organized. The engineering stalls were fun. Loved to see what they came up with!

Apparently, at UTS, the law faculty is replacing 9 lectures because they're all retiring. :S... that's the downside of it.

What did usyd engineering do?

They set up desks and everyone was showing off their projects, and they were doing a vote on the best work. Like the biomedical engineering had constructed an artificial hand. And the mechatronics engineers had formulated a plane that could fly for a round about 20 seconds, using solar energy + batteries as well... nice plane. And then there was civil engineers... and more projects around the room. Was cool

The UTS engineering section was okay. There was this guy on the electrical engineering stall that made my laugh my ass off.
