B Arts (Media and Communications)/B Laws
This is a new combined program with the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Law, commencing for the first time in 2008. Students in this program are able to complete two degrees in 6 years of full-time study, whereas it would normally take up to 7 years to separately complete both degrees.

Students will study Media and Communications, Arts and Law subjects concurrently through years 1-3 of their degree, Media and Communications, and Arts in year 4, and Law only in years 5-6.

Uni seems to go by faster than school, though.

I'm probably going to be at uni for 6-7 years :)

Aren't those combined medicine degrees about six or seven years?

EDIT: Me also. :( B.A/B.Sc = 5 years (UNSW and USyd), + 1.5 years M.Teach

that's IF I can transfer, and IF I bother with the M.Teach. Which will probably be unlikely in another 3 years.

Question is: Why the hell for? :|

I mean the media division at USyd isn't exactly top notch to begin with, let alone to string it out I wouldn't have thought anyway.

I would love to be at uni for 6 years. :)
You've only been at uni for one I presume?

I'm on my third, and all I want to do is graduate. I'm sick of being a poor uni student. I'm sick of having to take my work home, and feeling guilty when I go out. I'm sick of staying home on weekends to say "no I've got this assignment" for a subject you don't even see yourself ever relating back to every again. I'm sick of doing assignments and having no real "reward" for it other than for yourself, whereas if you were at a full time job, your "assignments" are for the company and you are getting paid!

Six years, god, I'd just die.

Yeah getting paid to do stuff really is awesome, or at least have the power to boss people around if you're still at uni!

Yes, I'm just a little first-year. Methinks, my mind will change by next year. But for now, I like yoooni!

I would presume that's AT LEAST 6 six years.
what the hell, that's insane. whoa.

i'll be at uni for 5 years unless i decide to transfer into a another degree soon in which case it would probably be 4 years. it seems like ages. i'm already a little over it...i love uni :) but sometimes i get this weird feeling like "i'll be 5 years closer to my death soon and all i'll have done in those 5 years is study" ... even though i don't know what the hell i'd be doing with myself right now if i wasn't at uni. i'd probably be stuck working at coles or whatever full time. or in the army or something. so i guess uni ftw :D
