Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can explain to me why USYD has such a poor job success rate both undergrad and postgrad?!! Its rated 2 stars for undergrad job employment and 1 star for postgrad. Is this a mistake or is there a logical explanation for it? So confused right now haha :/

(★★★★★ means the proportion of jobseeking graduates who were successful in securing full-time employment within four months of graduation is high enough to put this institution among the top 20 per cent; ★★★★ puts it in the second 20 per cent; and so on.)

Heres the links:

I concur...

RMIT seems to be getting a really bad rap... Job prospects for an RMIT graduate are good!!! love how they say job prospects for a VU student are greater than those for RMIT students... soooo much fallacy

It could be that the students from said universities prefer to wait or apply for a position that better matches their skill set than diving straight into workforce.

This is based on a questionaire taken by a sample of students. I'm not sure about other universities but I know that USYD doesn't really push these questionaires to its students very much. I've received these questionaires myself and to be honest they don't put much of an effort in making you answer them, so I'd imagine most of them go unanswered.

The file below is for Business/Economics students only and it is quite old (2009). It gives a 70-80% full-time employment rate. Again, note that it only takes a sample of students who actually bothered to answer the survey.
