Is historiography compulsory for this section and indochina section. I know it is compulsory for sec 3 but not sure for these 2.

Our teachers told us it wasnt compulsory but she aint that good of a teacher. What did ur teachers say. Will you lose marks if you don't include it.

You will not lose marks in any section if you don't use it other than in the core when required to use the sources you are given.

If used well it can enhance any response.

When used badly it can actually impeded the response.

IF you are using different interpretations and not actually naming the historians you are using 'historiography' by default and can get full marks (personally have given full marks to many responses with no historiography in all sections of the paper).

The marking criteria doesn't specify historiography and you won't lose marks for not using it.
