I have a few questions:

1. Is ACST243 = ACST255 + ACST355? Would that mean that if I have completed 243 I would not have to do 255 and 355?

2. For ACST399 if I complete it this semester, what are the corresponding new subjects I won't have to do next year (2006)?

3. Similarly if I do not do ACST344 and ACST345 this year, what are the corresponding new subjects in 2006?

The reason I am asking you this is that I think some subjects overlap each other and because I am mixed between the old and new syllabuses.

Thanks.

1. ACST243 does NOT equal (ACST255 and ACST355).
However, ACST345 does equal (ACST255 and ACST355).

2. If you complete ACST399 in 2005, you won't have to do (ACST356 and ACST357).

3. If you do NOT do (ACST344 and ACST345) in 2005, you'll need to do (ACST255, ACST354 and ACST355). Alternately, if you achieved a Credit in ACST243, you can do the Institute exam for ACST344 (ie. half of CT4 - check transitional rules for details) and for ACST345 (ie. CT5).

There are NO overlaping subjects, expect for ACST354 which corresponds to (ACST243 and ACST344).

Please note that the unit codes and titles of 300 level subjects may be subject to change by the ACST department (before next year).

(I assumed in this post that you're after the exemptions.)
