Hi everyone!

I'm doing a major Year 10 Science Assignment.
It details that I must conduct my own experiment.
I have about 7 weeks to do this.

My question is:
"How long does it take for a bean sprout seed to fully germinate and reach 'adult' form?"

I'm planning on conducting an experiment involving bean sprouts.
I'm worried that they may take too long to grow!

Any help / advice is very much appreciated.

Well mate, it really varies. Depends how you treat it.

If you treat the sprout well concerning these 5 factors:

Water
Oxygen
Temperature
Light or darkness

then it should grow in a matter of days. I'm not to familiar with bean sprouts.

Then there's always the case of Dormancy. This is when your sprout does not germinate, even if you consider those factors.

What a trivial question !

Sprouts from mung beans ?

Within a few days - definitely within a week. If kept in water and in a humid environment.
