Hey all, I've been offered guaranteed early entry for UOW Commerce/Law and want to know how it compares to UNSW/USyd in regards to employment prospects, as obviously it's nowhere near as prestigious. I would prefer to stay in the Wollongong area but don't know whether it's worth applying for a transfer after first year as I'm much more likely to get that rather than a 99 atar.

Firstly, it will be extremely difficult for you to transfer externally from Wollongong to Sydney/UNSW. Transferring internally in Sydney in 2011 required an ATAR of 98.6 and a distinction average, whilst UNSW solely considers first year performance - in taking the UNSW option, you'll be competing against the best first year Sydney, UTS and UNSW students, it will be difficult.
