UNSW or Syd. Uni for medical science? (1 Viewer)

After I didn't do that great in the UMAT, I'll probably end up doing medical science next year and then transfer to medicine or do the GAMSAT and do graduate med. So, which uni. is better for medical science?

i also asked this question a while ago...all i can say is that there seems to be no difference...and even the UAI cutoffs are very similar for both courses...
hey did u know bomee and rebecca lee in the yr above us r doing med sci at USyd....

get to UNSW you are virtually in the med faculty area and thus it would be easier to transfer to med as UNSW take in some med sci students into med in 2nd yr providing that they have gone well in their first year studies.

but it hought you could transfer even if you went to another uni?!

I think an internal transfer program ( ie 10 places in Med for Med Sci students to transfer) Its the only reason why some ppl are doing med sci in the first place.

Froma nother uni you got to do umat again, interview and apply through UAC

whats the average candidature of medical science students at unsw per year? and also what prportion of them actually apply for transfer?

id say atleast half are in med sci for the transfer and the others are content with being a med scientist
