there's a heap of scaling that goes on behind the scenes so it's really hard to tell
that said, raw of 200/300 means a 99 percentile, which is no mean feat

not really.
you can still do it next year.
it would mean a waste of an entire year.

UMAT raw scores are not out of 300. Ive seen people get over 100 in a section. Acer doesnt really tell anyone how they work it out.

Results come out at the end so september. UNSW main round ints are offered before umat results come out because they can access results earlier. Other interview offers come out in late nov and most interviews are in early december. Late round interviews are in early jan id ur uai ended up being higher than ur predicted.

oh no, no umat?! med would be 99.80 to get in!

actually that's great. I wouldn't want my future head surgery needs done by someone who's 'not that smart' but somehow has lots of empathy

we need more Dr Houses and less.... asses.

Ahaha.
1. House is an ass (an unpleasant person), but not an ass (an idiot).
2. Medicine is an art and a science in which patient-doctor relationships have been of utmost importance, and thus empathy is a necessity.
3. UMAT is supposedly a measure of ability, not empathy. There have been people known to get huge (scaled) scores in sections 1 and 3, and bombed out in section 2.
4. Don't get head surgery by a surgeon with a degenerative disease that affects motor neurons.

Newbie, without further haranguing, understand that surgery is not clinical/internal medicine, and vice versa; and the US is different to Australia. :/
