You need an inifinite UAI.

...

In other words, it's a grad only course. Hence if you want to do dentistry (which is a great choice ;)), you'll have to go interstate like I did. :)

EDIT: Damn Velox and his omnipresence, you beat me too it. :p

yep you need an undergrad degree first and a GPA of 5.5 or above plus a good enough gamsat score to get an interview which gets you to dent at usyd. Or go intrastate.

Went to my dentist today, he had told me he went to Sydney.

Although this is nothing to do with the original question, i thought i would put it in here.

So did mine. I remember looking at his certificate when I was waiting for him one time.

Random question but it is a requirement by law for them to display those certificates or do they just do it coz it's the norm?

to michael and ms_brightside..
the reasons ur dentist probably went to sydney... is.. well... your in NSW.. :p
it has been the only course there for dent.

only recently have they been melb and adel and UQ grads coming/returning home
(5-10 years?)... cos usyd closed its yr 12 leavers entrance.. many went interstate if they didnt want to spend 2 extra yrs at uni and could afford it.

Are you aware of the UAI that is required to get in there? I am interested.
No UAI yet, but I figure it will be something in the 90s plus an interview.
