so is a 85 possible with good hsc exam marks?
Yes. Your ranks are quite good (bar English), which helps (considerably). If you get some serious study in now, you can raise the bar significantly and push all your assessment marks up. Stuff like Maths (both units) and Chem is what you want to nail - because there's a chance you could top your class (if ranks are anything to go by) which will pull the class's assessment marks up.

English is a worry. You're best off studying as hard as you can, doing lots of practice essays (and most importantly, get them marked) will help. There's not a whole lot you can do in terms of pushing your assessment mark up (due to your rank), but you can try and make sure you score a solid HSC exam mark - to balance things out a bit.
