After having seen the UAC cut-off's I'm ust trying to gauge an estimate of what is acheivable and what isn't

I don't know my rank in subjects. My school is in the top 3. Below are my current percentages.

English Advanced- 86%
English 3 Unit- 85%
Maths 2 Unit- 75%
Maths 3 Unit- 70%
Business Studies- 80%
Physics- 81%
IPT- 80%

My aim is for around 90 ish to possibly mid-90's.

Feasible? Or should I aim somewhat lower?

Trials are still to come as well.

Well, no matter what, I have to be realistic about what I'm going to get so I know what Uni courses I can look at.

So above 90 you reckon?

i doubt this is possible....but you dont need to actually think about the uni courses you might do till you finish your last exam. it is very true. i am sure all first year uni students will agreee with me, with a couple of exceptions.

edit: it says top 3 school? over 90 for sure

Don't know my rankings at all.

Redrum, so you first thought I couldn't get over, but after I said top 3, it suddenly changed? Is it that much of a difference? I mean lowest UAI last year was like 30 or something.

Could someone please explain to me how much of a difference a school could make, I mean with marks similar or better then my own but inaverage schools I'm seeing around here, you guys say "work harder to get above 90"

But to me you say this, not gee'ing me on are yez

If that directed at me, I really couldn't say as I never knew this rankings stuff before a couple of weeks back.

Im average ish if not slightly below in my marks.

dw ash, you're gonna kick ass just continue to work your hardest, being at the school your in also is a bonus, because even if you're an average student, it's like very good when compared to people in the state

Guys,

previous years rankings aren't what you're going to be ranked this year - they should only be taken as a guide to where your school will place (if at all), some years may have been exceptionally bright.

Saying that, SprewellZ, if your school places anything like it did last year, you should be looking at 90+ no problems.
