You can go back and change your preferences as many times as you like before the deadline (ie 30th September).

find the exact date in the front of your UAC book.

the sept 30th deadline is just to make sure people are registered.
the deadline's jan. the 5th for main round

just a quick question to clarify what i read in the UAC book;

you can still change your preferences after the on time closing date of September 30 for the main-round of interview offers? and hence it's not PARTICULARLY important that i'm not sure what i want to do in university.

yes or no?

thanks.

Yes, you have untill the 7th of January to change your preferences for the main round.

N.B.: Their is a list of courses with early closing dates on pg. 30 of this years UAC guide.

So for example...I put down a course that has no UAI cut off since its a new course.......

Does that mean I'm automatically accepted into that course? Cause I know for some of the other no UAI cut off courses.....it states that they expect a UAI of at least example 85.

But for one of my courses with no UAI cut off, it doesn't state anything.....

I think it will be based on demand and places? Also might base on previous similar courses.
