We have an assessment, and apparently, the question is going to be very much like this: (question from last years HSC paper)
In December 1922, Lenin said Trostsy was "the most capebable man in the Central Committee, although showing excessive self-confidence."
In light of this statement, assess the reasons for Trotsky's defeat in the power struggle with Stalin.
Can anyone who has attempted this question please give me some hints?
