This question has got me down:
With the aid of a diagram find the equilivant expressions for cos*(3pi/x)+x)
(brackets just for easier understanding)

Well an equivalent expression would be:

Cos(3pi/x)*Cos(x) - Sin(3pi/x)*Sin(x)

by the rule Cos(a+b) = Cos(a)*Cos(b) - Sin(a)*Sin(b)

As long as there is a reicprocal inside the sine or cosine terms then as the trig function gets closer to zero, it displays very wild behaviour.
