A muon at rest has an average lifetime of 10^-6 m/sec. A muon is travelling at high speed in a particle accelerator is found to have a lifetime of 2x10^-6 seconds. What is the approximate speed of the muon?

No idea how to calculate...could someone show me pleasE?

cbf doing it, but you need to use the time dilation formula and rearrange it to make v^2 the subject.

As darkchild69 said, use the equation

And rearrange to make v (the speed) the subject then solve :)
