I think your problem lies in your grasp of English rather than mathematics being convoluted with English.

You're post should read thus:

"There are too many words to read. I mean, seriously, maths is supposed to be numbers. I don't even understand this question, let alone know how to do it.
:(((((((((((((((((((((((("

*sigh*

Imagine where mathematics would be today had the greats refused to read more than a paragraph about maths that didnt involve any actual numbers and/or equations

Yeah, If people like Newton and Kepler had had "too much words to read" imagine where we would be.
There would be no laws of motion or anything like that.
They wrote and published all their findings, reading back over all their writings to conclude what they found.

You, on the other hand, only need a basic grasp of fundamental of English to understand the question.
It's really not that difficult.
The questions are simply written in words. Like writing "one" instead of 1, or ''The parabola x2 = 4ay" instead of drawing a diagram.

But then again, if your grasp of the English language is as good as your typing...

If you dont know what integration and differentiation are then perhaps your problem doesnt lie in not being able to read lengthy questions.

ROFL at this guy.

You're being hypocritical - you complain that maths can't be applied to real life, at the same time whinging about the presence of english words in math problems.

How can maths be applied to real life without english? Problem solving questions are all in english - and not too difficult to understand, mind you.

The only problem is questions which are phrased especially badly, by people with english-skills like "kevin", no doubt. Learn to live with it - everything has english in it.

 Why are you even doing maths? There's clearly no point in you doing it!
And why complain about English in maths questions when you would rather write a 10 page history essay?
Why complain about English in maths and then complain about MATHS in maths?
